Ahsoka Season 2: January 20, 2027 Brazil premiere and what the teaser confirmed

Disney+ confirms a January 20, 2027 Brazilian premiere for Ahsoka Season 2. Here is what the official teaser establishes about Anakin and Thrawn, and what remains unannounced.

Season 2 of Star Wars: Ahsoka is scheduled to premiere January 20, 2027, on Disney+ in Brazil. The date appears in the service's Brazilian catalog and was announced by Lucasfilm during D23 in August 2026. The first teaser focuses its promotion on Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka's Jedi identity and the threat posed by Grand Admiral Thrawn, but does not reveal how those conflicts will be resolved.

When does Ahsoka Season 2 premiere in Brazil?

January 20, 2027, is not merely a projection carried over from the US release calendar: the Brazilian Portuguese Ahsoka listing on Disney+ explicitly gives that date for the second season. Lucasfilm has also announced an exclusive Disney+ release. Because the premiere is still in the future, the service could change the schedule.

The Brazilian catalog still lists the first season, released in 2023, with eight episodes. Those eight installments belong to Season 1 and should not be mistaken for a confirmed Season 2 episode count.

What did the teaser confirm about Anakin and Thrawn?

Unveiled at D23 on August 15, 2026, the teaser centers on a question that has followed Ahsoka throughout her journey: does she consider herself a Jedi? Lucasfilm's account confirms Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, advising and challenging his former apprentice. According to the official report, the footage shows Anakin training a younger Ahsoka, played by Ariana Greenblatt, and communicating with the adult Ahsoka played by Rosario Dawson.

Another major thread is the return of Thrawn, played by Lars Mikkelsen. Lucasfilm says the Grand Admiral intends to rally Imperial remnants, posing a threat to the New Republic. That establishes his importance to the new season, not whether he will succeed or the specific outcome of any future battle.

What do the official synopsis and cast reveal?

Notice: the following context refers to the characters' circumstances after Season 1.

Disney's press kit describes two strands of the story. Ahsoka and her apprentice Sabine Wren cross a mysterious and dangerous world while searching for a way home. Meanwhile, Hera Syndulla, Ezra Bridger, Zeb and Chopper face Thrawn and his allies, who seek to push the New Republic into war. This is an official synopsis, not a complete account of events already shown.

At D23, Eman Esfandi also said Ezra had reunited with his Rebels family and was fighting for the New Republic. His statement establishes the character's situation without giving away how that mission will unfold.

Besides Dawson, Christensen and Mikkelsen, the announced cast includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Hera), Esfandi (Ezra), Ivanna Sakhno (Shin Hati) and Rory McCann, who has been announced to continue Baylan Skoll's story. Dave Filoni is the writer; he, Jennifer Getzinger, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anders Engström are among the directors listed by Disney.

Are Mortis and the characters' fates already confirmed?

Not in that level of detail. Lucasfilm's D23 report described the event's stage as decorated with mist and carvings of the Mortis gods. That promotional setting, by itself, does not establish that Season 2 will adapt a particular Mortis storyline, nor does it settle the meaning of possible references to the franchise's mythology.

Likewise, Anakin's appearance in the teaser confirms his involvement in the footage and announcement, but does not explain every narrative rule behind that appearance. Thrawn's threat has been announced, but the outcome of the confrontation remains unknown. As of October 18, 2026, the official pages consulted had also not confirmed the full episode count, the Brazilian premiere time or the episode-release pattern. What can be stated with confidence is the Brazilian date, the platform and the elements officially disclosed by Lucasfilm and Disney.
