The crossovers receiving their first print editions in DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Stories are The Flash/Fantastic Four and Supergirl/Blade. Both originally appeared as vertical-scroll webcomics on DC Universe Infinite under the DC GO! imprint. The 224-page collection also includes Batman/Deadpool and Superman/Spider-Man, but those two specials had already appeared in print. The first-in-print distinction therefore applies to two stories, not the entire book.
The Flash/Fantastic Four: from vertical scrolling to paper
The Flash/Fantastic Four debuted digitally on November 12, 2025. Written by Jeremy Adams, illustrated by Adrián Gutiérrez and colored by Romulo Fajardo Jr., the one-shot was created for vertical-scroll reading through DC GO! on DC Universe Infinite. DC documented the date and format in its announcement and also published an interview with Adams explaining the storytelling approach.
In DC's official premise, Barry Allen meets the Fantastic Four in an adventure involving the Speed Force and Gorilla Grodd's attempt to gain mind-control power. Readers could already encounter this team-up in 2025. What the 2026 collection adds is its first appearance in print, rather than a brand-new story.
Supergirl/Blade: the second digital crossover entering print
Supergirl/Blade was released digitally on April 8, 2026, likewise through DC GO! on DC Universe Infinite. It was written by CRC Payne, with artwork by Mikel Janín and Hugo Petrus, colors by Marcelo Maiolo and lettering by Pat Brosseau. It was also designed as a vertical-scroll comic.
According to DC's published premise, Mojo kidnaps Supergirl and Blade and casts them in a fictional vampire-romance show. This is the officially released setup, not a complete account of the ending. As with The Flash/Fantastic Four, the 2026 collected edition marks the first printing of a story previously available digitally.
What the collection includes, and what was already printed
DC names four principal publications in the collected edition. Two originated online; the other two debuted as print one-shots: DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool #1 on November 19, 2025, led by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora, and DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man #1 on March 25, 2026, led by Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez. Those print issues also contain additional team-ups involving characters from both publishers.
| Original publication | First release | Original format | In the 2026 collection |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Flash/Fantastic Four | Nov 12, 2025 | Vertical-scroll webcomic, DC GO! | First print edition |
| Supergirl/Blade | Apr 8, 2026 | Vertical-scroll webcomic, DC GO! | First print edition |
| Batman/Deadpool #1 | Nov 19, 2025 | DC print one-shot | Previously printed material collected |
| Superman/Spider-Man #1 | Mar 25, 2026 | DC print one-shot | Previously printed material collected |
Other pairings named by the publisher include Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson, Nightwing and Wolverine (Laura Kinney), Power Girl and Punisher, and Jimmy Olsen and Carnage. This is the announced selection for this particular volume, not an inventory of every DC/Marvel crossover released around the same period. Other digital team-ups should not automatically be assumed to be part of it.
Why the United States and Brazil have different dates
There is a discrepancy between US publishing records: DC's June 1, 2026 announcement gave September 8, 2026 as the collection's release date, whereas distributor Penguin Random House lists September 15, 2026 as the publication date for the US hardcover and paperback. Both sources specify 224 pages. These dates should be attributed separately rather than represented as the same confirmed date.
In Brazil, Panini lists DC/Marvel: O Caso do Chamego Cósmico & Outras Histórias for preorder, as a 224-page hardcover with shipping expected in the second half of December 2026, according to its listing checked on October 29, 2026. A projected shipping window is not evidence that Brazilian customers have received the book, and it is not the US publication date.
What changes when a digital comic reaches print
DC originally offered both DC GO! webcomics in a vertical, screen-oriented format, with a 30-day free reading period subject to registration. That does not establish permanent free access or DC Universe Infinite availability in every country. The collection brings those stories to print alongside the earlier physical specials; the announcements consulted do not specify whether panel layouts were altered for the printed edition.
