Amazon's announcement explicitly says the release date for Season 3 has yet to be announced. It does not set a broader release window either, such as the first or second half of a particular year.
Has filming for Season 3 started?
Amazon updated its official article on June 19, 2026, reporting that Fallout filming was beginning that month in Los Angeles, United States. The announcement gives no exact first day of filming, completion date or post-production schedule. It is therefore accurate to report the June start announced by Amazon, but not to claim that filming has already wrapped or is still ongoing in October without further confirmation.
The renewal had been announced in May 2025, before Season 2 arrived. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, companies connected with the video game franchise on which the show is based.
Who is confirmed in the Fallout Season 3 cast?
Returning cast members include Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean), Aaron Moten (Maximus), Walton Goggins (Cooper Howard, the Ghoul), Kyle MacLachlan (Hank MacLean), Moisés Arias (Norm MacLean) and Frances Turner (Barb Howard).
