Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, PC (including Steam), and PlayStation 5. The game will join Game Pass Ultimate on day one. Players who buy the Premium Edition or Collector's Edition, or qualify for the appropriate Premium Upgrade, can start on February 18, up to five days earlier. Xbox Wire also lists Fable for cloud play and Xbox Play Anywhere. Cloud access depends on eligible plans, devices, and supported regions; the consulted announcements do not confirm a separate cloud-streaming early-access window. Play Anywhere applies to an eligible Xbox license across console and PC, not to independently purchased Steam or PlayStation Store copies.
Will Fable be on Game Pass at launch?
Yes. The official FAQ specifically identifies Game Pass Ultimate for play on February 23. The Xbox Brazil page also presents PC access, while the Premium Upgrade documentation names Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. That should not be read as confirmation for every Game Pass tier. Players should check which subscription covers their device in the relevant regional store.
A subscription alone does not unlock those five early days. Within the Xbox ecosystem, an eligible subscriber can buy the Premium Upgrade separately to receive the higher edition's benefits, including early access. As with other subscription-catalog games, continued play through a subscription depends on an active membership and the game's continued inclusion in the service.
How does February 18 early access work?
This is early entry to the game before its general release, not a development-stage product sold under Steam's "Early Access" model. Playground Games promises up to five days for Premium Edition and Collector's Edition owners. No universal unlock time has been published that would justify claiming the same local hour across time zones.
Stores have one important difference: the Premium Upgrade for Standard Edition owners is available ahead of launch on Xbox, but the FAQ says that a separate Standard-to-Premium upgrade on PS5 and Steam will only be purchasable after February 23, 2027. To play early in those two stores, the announced route is to preorder the Premium Edition rather than rely on upgrading Standard later. Both Steam and PlayStation storefronts display the Premium benefit.
What is included in each Fable edition?
- Standard Edition: the base game, with a regular February 23 release. Preordering Standard does not automatically grant February 18 access.
- Premium Edition: the base game, early access, cosmetic armor sets, in-game gifts, a digital artbook, soundtrack, and the story expansion Fable: Order of the Hero, scheduled for release after the base game.

According to the FAQ, there is no physical Premium Edition on disc. The publisher mentions a physical Standard Edition, but price and availability at Brazilian retailers must be checked store by store. Preordering any edition also comes with a digital bonus pack featuring a chicken outfit and gifts for in-game characters. There is no single verified price in Brazilian reais that can safely be assigned across all platforms: final amounts, tax, currency, and availability should be checked in the appropriate Brazilian store.
Which Fable is this, and will it support Brazilian Portuguese?
Developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios, Fable is a fresh start for the series, not a direct continuation of Lionhead's original trilogy. The open-world action RPG returns to Albion with a customizable hero, weapon and magic combat, and decisions that affect reputation. The FAQ confirms a single-player game, with no multiplayer, and full Brazilian Portuguese localization, including voice and text.
The choice comes down to timing: players who plan to enter Albion on February 23 can consider Standard or an eligible subscription, while those who want to start on February 18 need to confirm Premium, Collector's, or the Premium Upgrade available in their ecosystem. The expansion bundled with Premium is a post-launch release and should not be mistaken for content available on day one.
